Sleep deprivation

Kismet did it to me again today — woke me up well before I’d had a full and/or decent night’s sleep. I think I got about five hours.
I’ve got to try to find a way to keep him from nibbling on my nose. Locking him out of the bedroom at night may be the only answer.
I think tonight I’ll leave my camera on the nightstand and try to capture the moment if he does it again. It’s annoying, but it’s sort of cute, too.

Lock him out? He will only cry at the door! I lucked out by switching to a 4-10 schedule. The cats are so confused! However that did not stop the elder cat from pestering me at 3:30 AM last night. Good luck but I think that is part of being an animal owner.
A friend asked me where the cats sleep. I told her “where ever they want”. I so much enjoy the early morning snuggles (when its at my terms, not theirs).

  2. Ha! Mom tried to lock us out of the bedroom at night and we just scratched and banged on the door until she let us back in….

Nose guards are the way to go here Russ. Locking him out will only have him doing machine paw on your bedroom door. Welcome to multi-cat night time hell!

my 3 ‘kids’ circle my head every morning purring off and on as loudly as they can to wake me for their breakfast.
if i crack an eyelid, the purr machine kicks into high gear (and they can discern the merest flutter of eyelash!).
if i have the nerve to close my eyes they all 3 think if they pat my eyelids, my eyeballs will come out to play (and feed them)!
Yeah. they’ve got me pegged. works every time!
