Unhinged

Via INDC Journal, a bit from the UK Guardian newspaper:

On November 2, the entire civilised world will be praying, praying Bush loses. And Sod’s law dictates he’ll probably win, thereby disproving the existence of God once and for all. The world will endure four more years of idiocy, arrogance and unwarranted bloodshed, with no benevolent deity to watch over and save us. John Wilkes Booth, Lee Harvey Oswald, John Hinckley Jr – where are you now that we need you?

[Emphasis mine.]
[The Guardian has evidently pulled the item from their website.]
[OK, now it’s back.]
Really. This must be an example of that stereotypical British habit of understatement.
So, where is Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh you now that we need him? And can we get him to wherever Charlie Brooker hangs his hat?
Outrageous? Damn right it is.

It doesn’t happen often, but this has rendered me speechless. Just speechless.

The Guardian’s Charlie Brooker descends into death porn (ROUNDUP).

I posted on this as well. Imagine the outcry if FOX NEWS had said the same thing about Kerry.
    I know, what media bias?

So glad that soem of the crazy Brits can chime in on US elections (yes, I know not all Brits are like this.) “On November 2, the entire civilised world will be praying, praying Bush loses. And Sod’s law dictates

I read the whole article and was utterly revolted. The Guardian was once, many years ago, a decent paper; it is now just full of hate and invective (if one is to judge it by Brooker’s article).
I have written and complained to the Guardian (not that it will do any good) and written to it’s main rival letting them the have the full article. It never does any harm to bring this sort of thing to their rival’s attention !! Also, has anyone considered complaining to the Press Complaints Commission ??
I showed the article to some left-leaning colleagues of mine here in Sweden and they were just appalled.
Please note that I am British and the Guardian does not in any way represent me !! I want Bush to be re-elected !!
