Some people know – and care

One of the folks I receive e-mail from, on one of the many mailing lists to which I am subscribed, sent this:
Attached is a photo I took a couple of weeks ago of a movie theater in Fremont [California]. You may know that Fremont has the largest single population of Afghani people outside of Afghanistan.
Actually, I didn’t know.

He concludes:
You won’t see this one on the news.
Indeed not. But we – and the Afghan people, over here and over there – know the story.
You’re right. We’ll never see that on the news, and it’s a damned shame.
CLEARING THE BLOG FOG
To help clear the Blog Fog, create a link and ping a TrackBack to this post… Bill TacJammer has an interesting photo coming out of California. A town, with a large Afghani population, has its movie theater marquee thanking President Bush for freein…
Heh. I know some Iraqis. You’ll never hear THEIR comments on the news either.
I didn’t know that about Fremont. That’s where I’ll be this weekend (at my friend’s place)
Wow! That is very cool! Maybe FOX will show it, or something similar; that is, if they can spare some time from the Peterson case! ;)
Hey, it’s Paul!!
(Paul is on an email list I run and I’ve never run into him in blog comments before)
Some people get it
Check out this theatre marquee in Fremont, California (home to a large population of Afghanis)….
You might not see it in the news but you could read it.
The San Jose Mercury News has written a few pieces about this theater that was purchased by an Afghan business man just this year.
