Ouch. I’ve re-herniated the bad disk, as described here.
Painful. This happens once every year or so.
I need to go lie down. Preferably in a hole six feet deep.

    hey man, take care of that back, and stay out of that hole.
    if you don’t mind a little romance in your long-ago adventure stories, may i recommend Ellis Peters’ Heaventree Trilogy. Ellis Peters is really Edith Pargeter (was, she died a few years ago), and wrote the books about Brother Cadfael (also made into British tv series, recommended).

    I’m negotiating with the Hole department, just in case….
    The Cadfael series of books (yep, I have ’em all) and videos (got most of them) are great. I’m not overly keen on romance… but if it’s from the same pen (or typewriter, or word processer) then I’d be willing to give it a shot :-)
