Count me in on that sentiment — 100%, all the way.
When she was younger, my wife worked as a nanny. About 5 years before Christopher Reeve’s accident, she was interviewed for and offered a job nannying his kids, but turned it down because it would have required moving to England.
I admire him for his tenacity, and his courage, and am sorry for his tragedy.
I am also a big Michael J Fox fan, and really miss his work on Spin City. Again, a very nice person, and amazingly brave in the face of a horrific disease.
But despite my admiration, I cannot respect either man’s insistence that they and others like them have the right to create and then destroy life, or reap the benefits of mass murder of children, just to make their own lives better or longer.
