Crappy Holidays

Oh, look. The junior Senator from New York is going on a little trip. The troops will, of course, obey their orders and attend events as directed, smiles dutifully plastered on their faces.
The last time our soldiers had a Thanksgiving this bad was 1950, when about a zillion frosty and irritable Chinese communist soldiers came pouring across the Yalu into North Korea to attack them.
Given my choice, I think I’d rather have faced the Chinese.
If nothing else, at least they made no pretense of actually caring about the well-being of our soldiers.

Wonder why she’s doing it? I can’t recall her cozying up to the military like this before. She could be laying more groundwork for a quick entry to the Democrat presidential primary, using this visit as evidence of her “vast” foreign policy experience.
One wonders if this miserable sack of shit is sufficiently delusional to believe that the troops want to see her sorry ass. I actually believe that she convinces herself of some alternate reality, which permits her to tell the most obvious and outrageous lies with a straight face (e.g. cattle futures, Rose Law firm billing records mysteriously appearing on a table in the residence, vast right-wing conspiracy). It goes on and on. I feel sorry for the poor bastards who, as you so aptly noted, will follow their orders and show up and be nice.
The troops had a lottery. The losers got to eat dinner with the hildebeast. The were probably also ordered to not belch, fart, or have inappropriate dinner table conversations.
