Due to some real-world career matters, posting may be a bit light for a while.
I’ve decided to accept a reasonably lucrative offer that came pretty much out of the blue from a Very Large Provider Of Network Services Which Shall Remain Unnamed. I’ll be in training all week next week, and thereafter I’ll be working some unusual hours. I have no idea what effect this might have on my already-sparse posting.
This new position takes my career in a slightly different direction, but I’m eager to make all of it that I can.
But, dang… now I have stock my wardrobe with chinos and polo shirts.
It could have been worse — it could have been suits and ties.
I am making some career changes myself. Congratulations!
Congrats! Hope the “lucrative” part will help you to afford the lavish Triangle lifestyle, and maybe a some extra Goodberry’s for good measure.
Are you going with alligators or tigers on your polo shirts (or maybe something generic)?
I haven’t been to a Goodberry’s in a few years… maybe I should give it a try again.
As for polo shirt logos, I’ll be going with the flesh-eating bacteria motif.
Hey hey hey…don’t knock the suits and ties, bro. I made the transition from C/C++ Unix device driver programmer to management more than twelve years ago during my first stint as a civilian, and I’ve never regretted it :-)
Congratulations man – you deserve it.
Best,
– D
congrats!
GOOD LUCK!!!
Doh, I’m late to the party. Congratulations! Hey, if you’re ever in North Raleigh, the Goodberry’s is on me!
