This won’t end well.

North Korea defiantly launched a rocket over Japan on Sunday, claiming to have put a satellite in orbit even though other countries said the communist nation – which has been developing nuclear capabilities – was testing its ability to fire a long-range missile.
The response so far seems a bit underwhelming.
“The United States believes that this action is best dealt with, the most appropriate response, would be a United Nations Security Council resolution,” said Susan Rice, the U.S. ambassador to the U.N., during an interview on ABC’s “This Week” on Sunday. Ms. Rice said she would attend an emergency U.N. Security Council meeting being convened on Sunday afternoon to discuss an international response to the North Korea launch.
I can just imagine the Norks quaking in their jackboots at the prospect of another Security Council resolution. I suppose a sternly-worded letter would just be considered to be “piling on.”
Perhaps Obama can issue another apology, or offer to bow down and kiss Kim Jong-Il’s butt?
Given the response so far, and the responses we’re likely to see in future, I’m beginning to believe it’s a good thing I already speak Korean. It’ll give me extra time to work on learning Farsi.
