Mycah’s Most Modern Medical Misadventure

Mycah had a rough time with the vet on Tuesday. The procedure to remove a tiny skin growth ended up, because of her cancer history, with the removal of a chunk of flesh about the size of a quarter.

It looks pretty horrendous.

Pretty girl, ugly wound

After seeing Mycah again Wednesday, the vet assured me that the wound isn’t anything like as bad as it looks.

The excised material is off at the lab being checked for malignancy, and the vet provided a pain killer and an antibiotic she gets to have twice a day.

Mycah is, for the most part, her usual calm self. She is, after all, a retired lady cat.

Wow that looks awful! Hope she’s going to be ok. Please post as soon as the results come in.

Poor Mycah, we hope she recovers well and the lump turns out to be innocuous. She’s a grand old gal and we hope she has many happy years ahead of her.

  3. Oh Mycah, we hope you heal quickly and get a good report from the vet on that lump!
