Originally QOTDed last year, but oh-so apropos, given the events of the past week:
I can think of no better reason to vote against Obama than the prospect of an administration where any criticism of the President is treated as racism.
In light of the leftist and media (but I repeat myself) criticisms of yesterday’s march on Washington, as well as every other attack on the President’s critics, I think maybe we should be calling Glenn Reynolds the “Instaprophet.”

You give Reynolds too much credit.
He states it well, but predicting critics of the Obama administration would be accused of racism is like predicting the sun will rise in the east.
You’d have to be lacking a brain stem to not have seen it coming.
It isn’t really racism.
It’s more like Ray-Sizzum.
So it goes.
I remember the story of the famous trial lawyer summarizing his technique to a class of law students that when he case was stong on the law, he would hammer away on the law. When his case was strong on the facts, he would hammer away on the facts,
Of course, in the Q & A after the lecture, a student asked him what he would do if both the facts and the law were against him?
He replied, he would then “hammer away at the table.”
Well, with the facts and logic being against then, liberals are resorting to typical name calling. Its simply a sign of their desperation.

Good point – but I don’t think anyone else put it so succinctly.
This is the last time I will ever be amazed at how fast a totalitarian impulse can manifest and then spread through the elite. You’d think they’d be the last to go, but no, they’re the first.
It’s not just totalitarian impulses that spread quickly through the “progressive” “elite”; by the nature of what they profess to believe, they’ll fall for anything anti-establishment. History means nothing in that paradigm.
