Been a While

Yesterday was a busy day around here, what with errands and chores that needed doing — so busy, in fact, that it completely slipped my mind that it was the two-year anniversary of That Which They Did To Me which has, so far and with a fair degree of success, put a damper on the Recent Neurological Unpleasantness.
Had I not had the surgery, I don’t know where I would be now, other than “in a wheelchair.” I would also likely be sliding into dementia as an additional result of the hydrocephalus.
Fortunately, I have one of the best neurologists in the country, and was operated on by the best neurosurgeon in the entire world.
More importantly, I had the support and prayers of friends and family, especially my Mom. I think I understand just a little bit of what Lou Gehrig meant, when in his farewell to baseball, he described himself as the luckiest man on the face of the Earth.
I may never walk normally again, but I am truly a lucky, lucky man.

Coffee, Coffee – Yum Yum Yum

Go here: Mystic Monk Coffee. Find and click on the link for “Jingle Bell Java.” (Look at the bottom right of the main page.
(Or click here. Either way.)
Order at minimum 20 pounds. It comes in 12 ounce packages, so you’ll have to order at least 27 packages.
Don’t argue with me — just do it. Do it now.
Even if you aren’t a coffee drinker, you’ll have enough to roll around in and/or smear all over your body.
You won’t regret it.
