What is it about politicians, that they can’t keep their pants on?

OK, OK, I know — it’s only a small percentage of them who exhibit the signs of Wandering Willie Syndrome, and yes, they’re more visible than, say, anyone else… but still.

Now it looks like the ambulance chaser and former VP candidate, the fair-haired boy who formerly represented our great state of North Carolina in the US Senate, John Edwards, will be paying a legal price for his indiscretions.

What is it they say?

“It’s not the crime, it’s the coverup.”

No, that’s not it….

“You can take the lawyer out of politics, but you can’t take the douchiness out of the lawyer.”

Yeah. Something like that.

Kismet and Packet, as foundlings, were taken in by Cat Angels, a no-kill shelter in Cary, NC, where they spent their first year before I adopted them.

Now, Cat Angels is losing their lease, and is looking for a larger facility.

To aid in this venture, they are competing in the Pepsi “Refresh Everything” challenge for this month, in an effort to receive a $50,000 grant, which will allow them to move to larger quarters and expand their rescue work. For most of the month, they have been atop the leader board, but today they have fallen to #2.
