Birthday Girl

My dear girl kitteh Mycah turns 16 today.
I honestly never thought she would make it this long, given her health issues, but she seems to be comfortable in her retirement.
Her days are mainly spent sleeping in the back corner of my closet or under the cat tree — places she can detect an unwanted advance from the lads. When she ventures out, she’ll often lay down next to my chair, within easy skritching distance. Plus, I protect her from those unwanted advances.
(Packet’s idea of fun is ambushing Mycah, or otherwise jumping on her. Kismet merely reaches out a paw to touch her, or tries to groom her. Either way, she objects to the attention, unless I have a hand on her at that moment.)
Tomorrow we’re going to head down to the DMV so she can get her drivers license.
What could possibly go wrong?
Hmm… on second thought, maybe I’ll just get her a bus pass.
