Every time I hear Senator Marco Rubio speak, I become more convinced that the US Senate is not going to be the highest office he’ll ever hold.
Here, he speaks at the Reagan library. It is, not to put too fine a point on it, inspirational.
He’s young, so there’s absolutely no need for him to think about jumping into the 2012 race, or even to consider a VP offer. I’d guess 2024 would be a decent time for him to begin thinking about running for the Oval Office.
And by the way: remember that Senator Cornyn and the NRSC picked Charlie Crist as their boy for the 2010 Florida senate seat nomination. Make your campaign contributions accordingly.
