President Wimpy

The dullness of Obama’s campaign speech last night was exceeded only by its predictability. And possibly by its mendacity.

He rolled out the standard litany of blamethrowing, strawmen, and prevarication. Oh, and he mentioned something about a jobs plan.

He reminded me of nothing so much as the perpetually broke J. Wellington Wimpy:

I’d gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today.

Which, that pretty much sums up the entirety of the Obama presidency — putting the American future into hock for vague policies and concrete failures in the present.
