War Hero
I need to update my DD-214. In Senator Tom Harkin's world, I'm a Gulf War veteran.
For the record: I am a Gulf War era veteran. I spent 1991 at Fort Ord in California.

Greetings fellow RF'er. I was also a linguist and am a Gulf War Veteran. I had just gotten out of training when I hit the Gulf and bounced around between several units, one of which was a TacJam crew. I only got to hit the button once, and the heat exchanger took a dump, but it was still fun to be able to listen in. My wife found this site and showed it to me. I thought you might like to hear from a Brother in Arms.

By the same token, by dint of my 1975 Delayed Enlistment (going active duty in '76), I'm a Vietnam (era) Veteran. Says so on right on my DD Form 214.
I'm sure I got at least one paper-cut while on active duty. So now then, where the hell is my Purple Heart, huh? huh?
Freaking leftist morons. Amazing how they despise the military from one side of their mouth, and all the while try to wear the mantle of noble service with the other.
One does hope that America is paying attention.

Well, Shoot!
I lived in Yokasuka and Yokahoma during the Vietnam war. My Dad was deployed to Vietnam from there on ships, and boats, and stuff. I am a vet. I guess *I* ama Vietanm vet too by his definition. I was a toddler, but hey no one has called me on that.
