Eight Years

Today would have been Mycah’s eighth “Gotcha Day.”

We — the lads and I — have adapted to life here without her.

She was elderly, and her passing in November was somewhat expected, but when the end came I wasn’t even close to being ready for it.

I still miss her every day, quite a lot; it was the support of people on the net, especially the Cat Blogosphere, that buoyed me through that initial grief.

For that, I am truly grateful.

  1. Your never ready to let them go. We send you purrs as you remember Mycah on this special day. We bet she’s partying at the Bridge along with the ones that came before us, Scooter and Bogart.

Mycah sure was a beauty. We will always miss the ones who leave us, somehow, although it never gets easier, over time, we get used to their absence and good memories will fill the empty space in our hearts. The Island Cats are right, Mycah will be in good company. Bless her and all the good cats who came before, every single one of them.
