Columbian Crisis: Day 2

It’s my second day without coffee. Real coffee, I mean — not the instant decaf I have on hand. Instant decaf is to real coffee as an AMC Gremlin is to a Deusenberg.
I don’t know how I could have let this happen. I am sorely tempted to find out what Diet Coke tastes like after having been run through a Mr. Coffee.
Tomorrow is grocery day… but I may have to go to the store tonight if I expect to be functional tomorrow.

Surely a man with your life history would have a cache of MRE’s lying about — those include Taster’s Choice packets, with real caffiene in them….

I’ve been out of the Army for over 15 years. If I’d had any MREs, they would have been used in the aftermath of the ice storm a couple years ago.
I have been looking into building up an emergency/disaster ration stockpile, though. I’ve already started with a water supply, and will be adding to my stockpile over the coming months.
I’m not sure where I would store a 55-gallon drum of creamed corn, though.
